Part 3 of the series How to Start a Money Making Blog is here. In the previous parts of this series, I talked about choosing a niche and market research. Today I will be going into keyword research.

After choosing a niche and doing market research, it is time to start doing keyword research so that you can find a main keyword to focus on for your blog. You will also need long tail keywords related to your niche or main keyword to build up pages for your blog. So, to locate these keywords, you can use the free Google keyword tool. Just go to Google and type in “free google keyword tool” and it should be the first result.

In Part 1 of this series, I talked about the first step in starting a money making blog, more specifically, a money making niche blog. I went over how you should begin by gathering some niche ideas. Not any niche ideas but those that would actually bring you some profit. So, to sum it up, part one was about how to go about finding a profitable topic to base your blog on.

In Part 2 of this series, I will be going into market research and keyword research which is probably the most important stage of starting a money making blog. Blogging has become very popular over the recent years. It has also opened up a way for people to earn money. Now, you can make money blogging. How? Well there are different ways to make money from blogging. I will list a few ways below to give you a general idea.

Sponsored Posts - If you have a blog with decent blog traffic, you can join one of the paid to blog websites and submit your site to be approved. Once you approved, you can publish sponsored posts on your blog and get paid for them. The advertiser pays you to publish a post to your blog that promotes them. There’s more to it which I will be getting into in future posts but this is a general idea of how it works.

Affiliate Marketing – You can use a blog to market services and products to people and earn commissions. There is a lot more to it and it takes a lot of work but it can be very profitable. This I will discuss as well.

Pay Per Click Advertising- You can serve advertisements on your blog and earn a certain amount of money per ad click. One of the best pay per click programs is Adsense and a lot of people use it on their blogs to make a good chuck of change online.
