They claim that they only feature jobs that are “real” ranging from part-time, full-time, entry-level, and professional-level. They accept no paid ads and they vow not to make any claims that are outrageous and don’t allow opportunities in their job bank that make those types of claims either. My Experience With HomeJobStop

I got access to the HomeJobStop job bank to see if their claims were true and to find out whether or not this is a job bank that can really help people. Here is what I thought after reviewing the job bank and looking over the jobs.

Things I Liked:

* They did indeed feature legitimate work from home jobs. Some opportunities I was familiar with and a couple I have even mentioned on this website.

* They had a nice variety of work from home jobs. I looked through all of the categories and they had a nice list of jobs in each category.

* The jobs didn’t ask for any fees. There is no money to be spent on your part whatsoever when applying for and obtaining the jobs.

* Searching for the jobs was easy. All you have to do is browse through the jobs by choosing the category or categories of work you are interested in. You can even search for jobs using keywords, e.g. web design.

* They have up to date jobs. When I logged into my account, I was able to see jobs that were posted that same day and those that were posted earlier. This tells me that they add new opportunities on a regular basis.

* The membership options are actually affordable. Similar sites that charge for access do so at rates that are double and even triple the cost of their membership options.

Although the design and look of the job bank seemed to lack a bit, the stuff that is contained within the job bank is what matters the most so it is not something that would keep me from getting or continuing a membership with HomeJobStop.

One other thing that really isn’t a bad thing is that some of the jobs had specific requirements or skills in order for you to apply for the job. Like you may need a degree or experience in a certain field before applying.

To be completely honest, this is a great thing because this is a good sign of a job being legitimate and real. It is only a downside if you are interested in the job but do not have the credentials or experience they are looking for.

That is not a problem though because there are just as many jobs in the job bank that you can apply for with no experience and they are willing to train you if you need it.

My HomeJobStop Review: Final Conclusion

In a nutshell, I would recommend HomeJobStop to anyone who wants to learn about different work from opportunities and have a place to access information on how to apply and obtain these jobs.

Actually, most people that start out trying to earn money from home think that most online opportunities are scams.

I didn’t think all opportunities were scams but I had my guard up when I first started. I knew I didn’t want to waste time or money so I made sure that anything I tried was legitimate.

This is how you should look at things especially when you are new. There are quite a few bogus opportunities, websites, and scammers in the work from home field so you need to know how to spot a scam and how to avoid being scammed.

Before I go into that, which will be covered in my next post, I want to reveal some of the most common work from home scams you may encounter while looking for an online job.

If you know what opportunities to avoid, you will have a higher chance of actually choosing a legitimate work from home opportunity. So, lets get right into this.

Envelope Stuffing 

This is one the most common scams on the Internet. You are supposed to send in money and get some envelopes to stuff. The “company” claims that you can make anywhere from $1-$4 per envelope you stuff. This is a scam because the only people who make money are the ones sending the envelopes after you make your payment to them.

You just get envelops and templates to use to distribute the same ad that got you to try the opportunity out to others. You make money only if they fall for the same scam as you. Of course, envelope stuffing comes in various forms but they all end up as scams in the end.

Craft Work/Assembly Jobs

Basically, you would send in money to a “company” for the tools you need to assemble crafts or other assembly related products. They send you low quality “tools” (sewing machine, craft material, etc) and you have to assemble whatever it is you are supposed to assemble.

When everything is done, you will find out that your assembled crafts are not up to standard according to the “company” and you won’t make money. 99% of the time, these assembly work from home jobs are scams.

MLM

While there are legitimate MLM (Multi-Level Marketing) work from home opportunities such as Amway, there are a lot more MLM scams or Pyramid Schemes.

MLM supposed to work something like this. You join a business selling products. Then you help promote and sell the products or services they offer to others while also recruiting others to join the same opportunity.

You make money mainly by selling the products and you can also make money by recruiting others to become independent distributors for the company selling the products or services. Start up costs are low and training is usually free.

MLM scams operate differently with the main goal of scamming others and pocketing the money from the downline (since they will be at the top) and start-up fees which is usually very high.

Since there are several types of MLM scams, I will just say that the most scammy ones are the ones that focus more on recruiting people rather than selling the products or services they offer IF they even have them to offer.

Remember, the start up costs will be high with MLM scams and they will often want you to pay for things like training, advertising materials, seminars, etc.

Medical Billing 

This work from home scam involves people purchasing a medical billing package which comes with everything you need to start a medical billing service from home.

The only problem is that after you have gained the knowledge and tools to carry out business (which may not be up to standards), you have no way to get yourself the clients you need to make money. So, you end up losing money.

Medical companies needing this service usually process their bills themselves or have a firm do it for them. They rarely use the services of individuals.

Email Processing

This is similar to envelope stuffing. The only difference is that you use emails or newsletters. Both are scams.

Work at Home Companies Lists 

There are companies that offer to provide a list of work at home opportunities for a fee. Some of them are legitimate and most of them are scams. If you want to access a database of work at home jobs or get work at home job leads, the best way to do this is to just search the Internet for them for free and use legitimate resources. There are many work from home job boards and websites which list legitimate work at home opportunities for free.

If you are short on time and just need to find something fast and legitimate without all the research, you could use a job bank such as HomeJobStop which lists up-to-date and legitimate work from home jobs. There are no scams such as the ones in this article or ads disguised as jobs at HomeJobStop. The fee to join is also very low.

Scammy companies providing such lists include scam work from home opportunities and ads in their out-of-date database and often have very high membership fees.

Chain Letter 

I’m not going to lie, I almost fell for this one. I got an email that said if I sent $7 to the paypal email address listed on the email (chain letter), my PayPal email address will go on the list and I would make a lot of money. There was some stuff in between that I haven’t mentioned but I think you get how it goes.

Stay clear of this scam. I didn’t do it and I hope no one else falls for these $5, $6, $7 chain email scams.

Home Based Business Starter Kits

These companies that offer home business starter kits often uses deception, takes your money, and offer you information you can find on the Internet for free or information that won’t help you at all. They claim that they can help you start your own home business for a fee which will help you make lots of money online.

There are some companies which offers these starter kits that are indeed legitimate but as they say, “If something sounds too good to be true, it probably is”.

Typing at Home

You see an ad where you can make money typing at home. You go ahead and try it and send in your fee. You then get materials from this company which basically helps you blast the same ad out to others in hopes that they will sign on and pay the fee.

There wasn’t an honest job from the get go. You are simply paying for information to use to scam other people. Legitimate home typist jobs never request that you pay a fee.

Rebate Processing

The rebate processing scam is somewhat similar to the medical billing scam. You pay for training and materials needed to process rebates. The money supposed to come in once you process rebates. The problem is that you don’t get any opportunities to process any rebates after being promised that you would make lots of money doing so.

Fake Checks/Wire Transfers 

Whatever you do, don’t fall for the fake checks/wire transfer scam. You will likely get into a lot of trouble for this even though there may seem like there is little risk involved in the opportunity.

If you receive an email that talks about you cashing a check and getting some of the money for doing so, delete it immediately. It’s a scam. What you would be doing is cashing a fake check and wiring the person money. Once that fake check bounces, you will be in trouble.

Some fake check scams uses work from home opportunities (processing checks) which eventually leads to you cashing the fake check or checks. Just don’t cash checks or wire money for strangers.

Work From Home Companies Using 1-900 numbers

If a work from home company asks that you call their 1-900 number, steer clear of them. It is probably a scam. Did you know that they charge you for making those 1-900 calls? This is how the company makes money from you and that’s probably what they are only interested in – taking your money.

So, there you have 12 of the most common work from home scams to watch out for. Our next article will be about how to spot and avoid these work at home scams.

The point is that many people are unaware of this method that can potentially help them make some extra money online and quickly. However, before I go any further, I would like to say that this opportunity is not for those residing in countries other than the US and Canada.

What is freebie trading?

Freebie trading involves mainly two things. Going green for others and getting greens – both which will allow you to make money. This is freebie trading talk which you may not understand so let me break it down for you.

Going Green For Others

Going green for others basically means signing up to an Incentivized freebie website under someone and completing the offer requirements on that specific site. Once you do so, you will get paid a certain amount of cash for signing up as a referral and successfully completing the offer requirements on the site.

Getting Greens

Getting greens means to get referrals for the Incentivized freebie website. Once you refer someone and they complete their offer requirements, you will have successfully gotten a green for that specific incentivized freebie website.

If you have completed the site requirements for cashout – completing the offer requirements yourself and acquiring the amount of referrals needed for the prize you chose – you will get your prize (cash, prizes, gift cards..up to you which prize you choose).

This is what freebie trading is all about but you still may be confused so I will actually guide you to how a trade would work and the whole process.

Step 1: Join A Forum Dedicated to Freebie Trading

In order to start, you need to reach people for both going green and getting greens. These freebie trading forums are like your workplace. You go there to find people to green for (make money) and you go there to find people to go green on your sites (making money as well).

Also these forums have all the information you need to get started. So if you are new, no worries because the community is there to help you learn what you need to get started and making money.

Step 2: Start Going Green On Sites

When you are new, you need to go green on some sites so that you can have sites for the second stage of freebie trading which is getting greens for your own sites.

Well, if you are only out to make some quick cash and not really go further in the business, then you may not need to go green on a bunch of sites.

In any case, you would sign up to a freebie site using someones referral link. It’s easy to find people to go green for because you can browse through the “referrals for cash” section of the forums and find many threads of people looking for referrals for their sites.

Once you find someone to go green for, you use the referral link that they give you and register for the site. Now the offer requirements for each site will be a little different depending on the site.

You may only have to complete one offer in order to complete the offer requirements, or you may have to do several.

The sites where you have to do more than one offer to green will just about always pay more.

Once you are registered, you will need to see what the offer requirements are and complete your offer(s). The offers are just trial offers. Some are free and some cost a little more. In most cases though, you will just have to pay for shipping and handling.

*Always make sure to keep up with the offers you do and contact information of the trial offer company.

One reason people don’t enter this business is because they hear of horror stories of people getting their credit cards charged because they forgot to cancel their trial offers.

This does happen but if you stay organized and cancel the trials before it ends, you don’t have to worry about surprise charges. Just make sure you only sign up for trial offers that interest you and never scam the company by signing up just to get credit and cancelling the next chance you get.

As long as you know the rules, abide by them, and stay organized, you should do well in this business.

Continuing on….

Once you complete the offers and have fulfilled the offer requirements, you will let your trade partner know (the one that is paying you to go green on their site). Once they have verified that you have indeed went green, they will pay you instantly from their Paypal account.

Note that it may take a little while for your offer to credit. In order to fulfill the offer requirements, you need to be credited for the offers you completed.

The amount you make for the trade depends on what the trader wants to offer you for completing the site and how much the site actually pays for a referral. Both of these are considered.

Nowadays, you can find people offering 100% which means that whatever the site pays them for a referral, they pay the whole amount to you. Now they probably won’t make profit but they will get more people to go green for them which can help them win a contest the site is having which pays out big money.

So, if you completed a site for someone paying 100% and the site paid out $50 per referral, you would get the whole $50 instead of the normal 50% cut.

That’s basically how going green works.

Step 3: Get Greens

This step is basically getting referrals for your own sites which you would have acquired when you went green for other sites. You can payout however much you want. 50%, 75%, or even 100% of whatever you would get paid per referral from the incentived freebie website.

In this step, you get to make money from getting referrals and winning referral contests. Most sites have referral contests. You can win these by getting the most referrals. So on top of the money you make for getting referrals, you have a chance to make more.

That is basically how freebie trading is although there is a lot more to it. As you may have noticed, you will need a debit or credit card to complete the offers and will have to spend a few dollars to go green but you make profit which can be paid to you instantly.

It’s a tricky business but as you get used to it and fully understand how it works, it could be a great opportunity to make a few hundred extra bucks a month.

How Do I Know About This?

I signed up for Project Payday a while ago which introduced me to this business. I can say that I made the right move at the time because the program had all of the information I needed to start making money in the freebie trading business.

With that being said, we often find that it is hard to rank for keywords in Google especially now since the Panda update and other changes at Google. This is also true for those who want to rank in the search engines using completely free methods.

You can do it but know it will take A LOT of effort and time.

People like me who don’t have much time due to things like other projects, kids, life, and so on may need the help of a good link building service or tool. I have been testing a few services and today, I want to talk about one of them and present my results. That service is called BuildMyRank.

BuildMyRank Review

BuildMyRank is a service which allows people to submit unique articles or blog posts containing links to their websites. In a nutshell, it is a blog network and a high quality one at that.

I read a few reviews myself before actually paying for the subscription to their service. I read a lot of good things about the service so I decided I was going to give it a go for one full month.

I had already signed up for the BuildMyRank free trial which gives you 10 free links to test their service. I got my 10 free links but wasn’t able to track rankings for the keyword due to other projects.

In any case, I subscribed for the lowest package ($59) which is 1-5 domains meaning that you can build backlinks to up to five domains. You can build links to inner pages for each domain too.

Here are a few other tidbits of information you may want to know about BMR.

• You need to write original content
• Articles need to be at least 150 words to have a link
• Your articles go on blogs that are PR1-PR6 (Supposedly)
• Only accepts English websites currently
• They help index the articles (RSS feed, social bookmarking)
• You can build up to 10 links to a single domain a day
• You can have their team of writers write your articles for you.

My Results

It is now one month later and I can say that so far, I am pleased with the service. I have seen positive movement in the serps and have increased the income for a page I was targeting with three different keywords.

Thanks to achieving #1 positions for three different keywords targeting the same page, I was able to see my first $50 day with a certain affiliate network. I was usually getting around $5-$20 a day with that network but since that jump yesterday, my earnings really took a leap.

I was also targeting other long tail keywords and a couple of medium competition keywords and I am currently on the first page of Google for all of those keywords from being at the third page of Google. Not #1 yet for any of those keywords.

I submitted no more than 20 articles per keyword I was targeting.

My Thoughts On the Service

I really like the service so far and think that with continuous use, higher rankings can be achieved. I joined around the time of the Google Page Rank Update so I think I might of had a bit of bad luck when it comes to the PR of the blogs. Here is the PR distribution of the blogs my articles are on.

As you can see, some are PR0 blogs which started showing after the update so I’m guessing some blogs lost their PR. However, the good thing is that the network is constantly working on and improving their network. They will just add more higher PR blogs to replace those PR0 blogs according to a statement from BMR.

I wasn’t able to get any of my articles on PR5 or PR6 blogs yet but I have seen others achieve this so I’m guessing it just takes a lot of posts and luck.

To conclude my BuildMyRank review, I will say that the service works. However, it shouldn’t be used as your only method to build links especially for medium to high competition keywords.

I will continue monitoring results and update this review when I need to add more juicy information of this service.
